Résumé :	This paper assesses IS research on the role of Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) in the context of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). It first presents the main theoretical perspectives on M&A with an emphasis on the post-merger integration process. It then analyzes IS/IT studies in terms of their theoretical perspective, their logical structure, their knowledge relevancy, and the nature of the IS/IT phenomena studied and synthesizes what has been learned from these studies. Finally, it identifies methodological and theoretical issues and suggests research avenues.
