| Résumé : | This report is a detailed presentation of a sub-set of the 2014 Developers Satisfaction Survey (DSS) of the IGDA (DSS 14) survey questions that were geared to collect information about these working conditions. As a seemingly inescapable feature of the game industry, long working hours are a primary issue. We therefore discuss working time first, followed by issues with compensation for work time and then move on to other features of game industry employment such as quality of life and benefits. As the data allows, the report also includes information about the features of the contemporary workplace and industry job market and its evolution. |
